I really love the work of Rene Magritte, more than many of the other most popular surrealist artists. He has a very simple style of artwork, but adds in just enough details to tell a story. The painting above is one of my favorite pieces of his artwork. I think it was a great choice for him to add the face of the woman onto the face of the man because it creates an interesting contrast and mysteriousness to the setting. I was satisfied with my work and thought the size of the lemon tree and basket against the small sand dunes created an interesting image.
